BarterOpps.com is a B2B Marketplace for exchange of goods and services without using money. Barter offers you increased purchasing power, higher revenue, more clients, better cash flow, greater marketing opportunities and improved efficiency. Barter benefits companies and countries in exchanging goods and services rather than cash, and also enables those who are lacking "hard currency" to obtain goods and services. Register now and start trading right away. The site is totally FREE to use for the present - No Listing Fee, No Closing Fee, No Transaction Fee.


Registration


To make listings on the site and use its other features you need to register. It only takes a minute or so to complete the registration. As soon as you fill-up the registration form and click Register, an e-mail is sent asking you to verify your e-mail address. The e-mail contains a link which you need to click or copy and paste in your browser address bar. Once done, you are verified and your registration is enabled.


Login


Your e-mail address is your login ID which, along with your password you selected while registering, will enable you to get access to the Member's Area of the site. From here you can create a new listing, upload pictures to your listings and edit existing ones. You can change your password if you so wish and update your preferences for newsletter and e-mail address. You may also subscribe to receive links to new barter deals posted on the site in your selected categories.


Listing Submission


When you wish to create a new listing, login to the Member's Area via the User Login link at the top. Inside, click on the link New Listing in the left side menu. This will bring you to the category selection page. Please select a category most appropriate to your listing. As soon as you do, you will be taken to the listing form. You can always go back and select another category if you made an incorrect choice. Category headings convey broad meaning as to the type of goods or services offered. Suggest a new category or sub-category if your listing so requires.


Listing Details


Being a site that helps conduct barter transactions, while creating a listing, first mention the goods or services that you are offering - against heading: Goods or Services Offered. Below describe in detail the goods or services you are offering. Next, state the goods or services you are willing to accept in exchange - against heading: Goods or Services Required. Below describe the goods and services that you are willing to accept in exchange. The approximate dollar or other currency value of the offered good or services is shown to give prospective bidders an idea of the size of the deal.


Please fill-up the value starting with the $ or other currency sign. Once you have submitted the form, you may also upload upto 5 pictures, 1 video and 1 document to your listing. The submitted listing remains hidden from the public until the Site Administrator approves it. Approvals take about 24 hours. Do not use all caps in the listing title.


Submitting Offers


Again, being a site that helps conduct barter transactions, offers are submitted not in currency but by tendering goods or services in exchange. Hence it is important that you give detailed information about what you are offering to the person inviting offers. Vague and incomplete information is not likely to result in a successful transaction or deal. It is up to the bidder should he or she wish to make a cash offer - partial or total. Offers can be submitted by contacting the other party through e-mail, if e-mail address is shown, or through the contact form alternatively.


HTML Tags


You can use some html tags in the Goods or Services Offered and Goods or Services Required boxes, for example, BarterOpps.com, to create a link to your website or an external web page.


Listing Searches


While one can browse through the listings by category, people often search with keywords. The keyword based searches are confined to words appearing in the Title and Offer/Required Description boxes. So keep in mind while creating your listing to include keywords for which you would like your listing to be found by others.


Listing Duration


Listings are made for 180 days at a time. One week before expiry, you will be sent an e-mail about this. You can renew the listing or make a fresh listing if the barter deal is still available. You can edit and update your listing anytime and as many times as necessary. You can certainly delete it if it is no longer required.


Listing Notification


You can subscribe to receive notifications of new listings in your selected categories. Whenever a new listing is published on our site in your selected category, an e-mail containing a link to that listing will be sent to you. To use this feature you must become a registered user.


Site Navigation


We have tried to keep the navigation of the site as simple and intuitive as possible. The links at the top and the bottom will appear on all pages enabling you to go to any of these pages from anywhere on the site. The detailed listing page has the links to contact the person making the listing, tell-a-friend about a listing, bookmark it, print it, and more. Listing stats are shown on the detailed listing page. In addition, your Member Area will have information on the number of people who contacted you via the contact form, the total number of listings and views. Do give your suggestions on improvement - it will be appreciated.

There is no way for us to verify the accuracy of listings posted on our site although we do take general precautions to filter out listings that, in our opinion, may be fake or frivolous. Information Collected


We require your name, e-mail, physical address and phone number to be submitted while registering and will be published with your listing on our site so that interested persons can contact you. We may communicate with you occasionally in connection with the services provided by us.


Sharing Information


We do not share information with third parties. Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our website.


Business Transition


In the event BarterOpps.com goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users' personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.


Notification of Changes


If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post the changes here so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.
